Please talk me through the rules...

I know the hand luggage allowance is 10kg
Dimensions are 56cm x 40cm x 20cm

But im not sure on as its hand luggage does the 100ml liquid rule apply???
Can you take razors??

Anything else we should be aware of??

The 100ml rule will apply, you can definitely take a gilette safety razor-type-thing, I don't know about an actual razor blade, if that's what you meant.

These rucksacks are very good, if you don't have something suitable.

Only one cigarette lighter.

Avoid taking scissors (although i think a short bladed pair may be allowed).

Get suncream airside, or when you get there.

I would look on the British Airways web site. Their info on what not to take in hand luggage is spot on. Don't take scissors !!! Or anything metal and pointed. If you have only hand luggage, buy anything you need once you are through security or buy smaller liquid items (less than 100 ml) before you go (or decant). Although you will have to put it all in a plastic bag to get through security. All lap tops, iPads, phones, cameras (possibly) now have to be out of your bag at security but the people there tell you what they want you to do. I think electric razor is fine. Personally I have hold luggage for everything except electronics and camera. That means I don't gave to think too much about sizes of liquids and metals.
