Best value all inclusive

Want to book something up for the summer holidays next year earlier than usual to hopefully get a better deal. Anyone got any recommendations for a nice/good value all inclusive place for myself and two teenage sons? Where do you get the best value for money? Can't afford real luxury (although that's what I'd like).

what is your budget?
how old are the teens?
will they have freedom to 'wander' or do you want them with you?

Would be good to do something for less than £2,000. Everything seems so expensive and I've had to put that figure in as a realistic figure (ideally I'd like to spend less). Boys will be 13 and 16 and I'm happy for them to wander a little if the area is safe. Flights to spain seemed cheapest but couldn't see any reasonably prices all inclusives. Turkey and Tunisia seemed to be best value for money when I was looking but really wanted some recommendations.

Salou is cheap, loads to do for DC- Portaventura theme park, waterparks, easy to visit Barcelona or Taragona. We are going on Saturday. Not AI but 4* half board for 4 of us £1300. booked with onthebeach-they have loads of AI hotels on there for your budget for all spain.

I did a Neilson activity holiday to Turkey last year with DS, it was great. The food was amazing; all activities were included, with tuition. Free bikes to explore too. The only thing not included was drinks, but my 2 glasses of wine per evening didn't break the bank and there was bottled water on the tables, plus juice, teas and coffees at every meal. DS had an absolute blast.

I will look at Spain Foxdongle. That sounds very active Shockers - my boys would probably like that!

Went with 4 teens twice to tenerife. ( North West)
Tamaimo tropical all inclusive
Walking distance along beautiful cliff top to Los gigantes - lovely marina bit posher boat trips fron here.
Across the road and also different one on way to los gigantes 'natural pools' rock pool with very warm water and big waves from sea crashing periodically over while kids and adults sit on edge in anticipation! The natural bit over the road literally has red hot rocks but take towels and flip flops to get to the sea and loads of tropical fish right there. Take snorkels.locals use it. ' Big'(not really) rock to daringly jump off!
Hotel itself decent all inclusive. Not posh. Not by any means bad. Loads of entertainment for all ages. Looked up quickly price for july 21 next year all inc from Gatwick its 550 each
You will get cheaper. It was one search. (Including hold luggage). Nice not clubby safe area.ice cream. drink food included.(inc bottled water) Especially good - going out for the day you will get a free packed lunch!

£2000 doesn't sound like enough to me for 4 adults AI during school holidays.
Our schools go back on 2nd Sept so foxdongle your holiday on 30th August would be outside most school hols and therefore cheaper.
I like the sound of that Tenerife one 46 but, departing on 21st July would be before they break up?

46direct · 29/08/2014 22:58

oh - lost the plot a bit there with the holiday dates!

cece · 31/08/2014 22:24

Our schools break up 17th July in 2015...

Jet2 have AI to Benidorm for 2 adults and 2 children for around £2k in 2015 summer holidays - was very tempted myself but are holding on a bit longer before booking (can't afford the deposit this month!).
