It varies depending on the airline, but the websites can be hugely uninformative, as I'm sure you've found. BA sells up to 360 days in advance.

Thanks

Is that the only date?

or is it different for different seasons?

Depends where you want to go and who with - i've had emails today from bmibaby and jet2 saying summer fares now available and i've just booked mine for next august!

littlerach · 21/09/2006 12:29

We've founf it's usually 10 m0nths in advacne.

LIZS · 21/09/2006 12:29

easyjet normally do about 6 month blocks so fares end October to March appeared about a month ago. Can vary according to UK airport as to when the scheduled slots get confirmed.

Holidaymum · 21/09/2006 12:34

General rule is 11 months in advance for scheduled ailines. Budget airlines vary no rule at all! Best bet is to sign up for newsletters. Charters again no rules at all!

Thats a bmibaby route, most of their summer 2007 is now on sale but that route isn't for some strange reason. I'd double check with them that they are still going to operate it. Ryanair and Easyjet have cancelled their Gatwick services to the airport.

Helennn · 17/11/2006 21:54

Does anybody know when Easyjet are going to release their flights for next Summer, ie April onwards? Can't see anything on their web-site and really want to book something to Italy!!!

themoon66 · 20/11/2006 13:49

Sign up with Easyjet for them to email you with advance notice of sales.

Have alook at www.cheapflights.co.uk as most airlines advertise here and you can compare prices with Ryanair, bmibay, BA, flybe, Airfrance, Thomson, Monarch and many more.

I haven't searched through, but I expect you could sign up somewhere.

I work in travel and I have found you get a good flight deal either 6+ months in advance. Or, if you can be flexible on dates - late deals are possible, as long as you don't want to go when everyone else wants to.

Always make sure you are ATOL protected when you book a holiday and ask for ATOL details. Don't be afraid to ask, as a holiday company that is ATOL protected won't mind you asking. ABTA (travel agents assoc) is not the same as ATOL.

I do not work for any companies that I may post about.

Thanks all - managed to get through to Easyjet and they say next Summer's flights go on sale first week in December, only 4 months before they depart. Not a lot of help to those of us who have to forward plan!!!

Think it ridiculous they don't put it any-where on their web-site, or let you know in advance by e-mail, (already signed up for their e-mails). Just have to hope they have what I am looking for!!

yorkiegirl

flights are available between manchester/luton airport and waterford (in the southeast of ireland) with aer arann. (a small airline and usually dearer then bigger airlines, but sooo convenient for me and my family who live in all three places!!) May be of no interest to you now as ive just realised you posted this 2 months ago!!
