Natural history museum mammoths exhibition-is it worth the money?

We're going to the nhm tomorrow as part of a day out in London. We'd like to take the children to the mammoths exhibition but dh is baulking at the £28 for a family ticket. Has anyone been? Would you recommend it and was it good value? We'll be taking 8, 5 and 3 year olds.

it is quite small - ie one room but you do get to see the only preserved wooly mammoth they have found...is it worth £28 ...hummm not I think...but I did like to see the baby mammoth

We went last week and though it's ok, not sure it's really worth the extra money. However it was good bypassing the long initial queue waiting to go into the museum (especially as we had limited time there) - make sure you book tickets for the dinosaurs as well (which is free) and you at least don't have to wait in that queue.
