.... do it now. They are £34.50 at the mo but about to go up by quite a bit apparently. So get your forms from the PO asap.

DD's needs renewing next summer, before our July holiday. Bet the price goes up before then though!

Just checked the website, yes it's from Oct 5th. I'm so happy I applied for DS1's renewal (he's 5) 2 weeks ago - it's going up from £34 to £45 (the adult one from £51 to £66 ). I always get mine checked at the post office as I normally get something wrong on the form - I guess if you take it in by the 4th it'll still be at the old price.

Oh, apparently you can renew your passport up to 9 months earlier and the unused time is added onto your new one (IYSWIM). Don't know if that is only for an adult 10-year one, though.
