Two days in Lille

I am off to Lille for two days, one night (mid week) with DH for our wedding anniversary.

I've looked at Tripadvisor etc but I was hoping that some of you lovely Mumsnetters might have some recommendations of things to do/see? I want to do as much as possible while we don't have three small children trailing us!

I lived there for a while but quite a few years ago. I would head to the Grand Place and then wander around the old town, the cobbled streets, stop at the pavement cafes and people watch. I'm sure others might have recommendations for restaurants, but if you venture away from the typical main city / touristy area, you'll get a more traditional French experience.
