Annual Family Travel Insurance- different combinations of who is travelling?

I am just looking at travel insurance- there is me, DH and DD (3 months). We have a few different trips coming up e.g. DD and I travelling to Canada to visit family without DH, all three of us travelling to Canaries for holiday, DH travelling on his own to visit his dad in Spain.

If I book an annual family policy, will we be covered for our different trips or is it only valid as a family policy if we are travelling together as a family?

TIA

The one we have covers the 'policy holder' and any of the named family members who are with them, so you and your dd travelling to canada would be fine, the whole family travelling to the canaries would be fine, but your dh on his own would not be, if you were the named policy holder, on our insurance policy.

I checked this when we renewed, as the year before the dds and i went on holiday by train and dp met us there, but came by bike, and then left early and met us at home. It's not clear how much of that trip he was actually covered for...

We have ours via our bank account and it covers all your options. Lloyd's Bank Premiere Account AXA Insurance. It also covers the children travelling on their own. The only limit is the number of days per year - which is pretty high!
