Tunisian hotel damages/breakages deposits on arrival

I've been on holiday to Tunisia a few times and have never heard of paying a deposit.

Thanks for the reply. The thomas cook website says there is a refundable deposit payable upon arrival, but not how much. Will try to contact them and ask.
