Anyone else back from Garda a bit damp and with an unused bottle of sun cream?

Apparently they are having the worst summer weather for 80 years.

We had a good holiday (thanks to the Aperol!) and some nice weather, but there were several days of continuous rain, so it wasn't quite what we expected.

Well it's not what I would think of as a sunshine holiday destination. Presumably more activity and sightseeing which isn't so weather dependant?

"Well it's not what I would think of as a sunshine holiday destination."

I have been to lake Garda in August three times, and at that time of year I would expect hot sunny weather - it certainly was each time I was there.

The brochure says average temperature 29 C and 9 hours of sunshine for July. And they wouldn't have any reason to lie, would they? Wink

We have been a few times and always had good weather. My two eldest sons have been sailing in Scotland and are suffering with the weather. Now that is somewhere you don't rely on for good weather .

Er, that's 9 hours a day average. Though 9 hours total was probably closer to what we got...
