dh and i have been married 24 years and never had a holiday just the two of us....so we are pushing the boat out and planning to go away next year.
so now im driving myself insane.....
first of all i was looking at all inclusive child free luxurious hotels for stupid money. A) cant afford stupid money and B) they still get some bad reviews on trip advisor....and not sure a hotel would be for me.
so now im thinking do what we have always done in this country....and go independent - find a nice villa or apartment.
get flights separately and car hire if needed.
not scared of doing that and have done it before with the kids (twice!) in spain.
i like to do my own thing anyway, hate reps, hate noise, like eating out at local places and trying to fit in a wee bit....butlins style holiday resorts are not for me....so i would hate the watered down drinks and the entertainment in a hotel.....
its also going to be a good deal cheaper to do it independently.
so now all i need is recommendations! ive found flights. ive found car hire. i need a luxurious and lovely home from home in turkey. with a pool. and preferably no kids but thats a big ask....
