Can anyone recommend a good place to go to in France with teenagers, within a reasonable drive from Calais( approx4 hours)We like to do a mixture of activities, sightseeing and relaxing. I don't want to camp, so lodges, caravans etc would be good.

£500-850 for the week, if poss.

I don't mind finding activities, just want to know what areas to go to, or sites to go to.

Op what sort of activities do your teens enjoy? What about you? Do you have to go from calais or would a ferry to caen/st malo/cherbourg/roscoff. Do you want a beach or do you prefer inland?

We've just come back from domaine des ormes in Brittany, 4.5 hours drive, with our teens 13,14,15 and 16, they loved it.

If your teens are like mine, they will want other kids their age around, so a mobile home on a good campsite will keep them happy. Look at Yelloh villages for starters.

Have you looked at Les Castels sites? They've been recommended to me, as I have 2 teens so was considering it for next year. They have lodges, mobiles, and some have gites. They're usually built/placed around a chateau (depending on location) and have plenty going on, archery/canoeing/tennis etc, and BBQs and wine-tasting eves for the adults, very civilised!!

We went to a campsite near st valery, ? Domaine de ? trelincourt? . V unassuming but,

Near the sea, stuff to do there,
Small castle with William conqueror connections
The huge estuary
Le touquet quite close
V v easy to get to.
