Ideas need to be free/cheap please. I also have my own DCs aged 11,9 & 7. This is the Hungarian girls first time in England.

Wot LIZS said; Start in Trafalgar square then walk down the Mall and after Buckingham Palace and the changing of the guard walk round to Westminster and then walk along South Bank past the London Eye, past the Golden Hind, as far as the Globe at least where you can see the Millenium bridge and St Pauls and Tower Bridge and there are some funky painted benches around.
Also you could take in Tate Modern if the children still up for it, it is next to the globe
There is often free stuff at the Scoop outside More London, you can all sit and eat your sandwiches and watch.

Biggest money saving would be to take along your own cans of fizzy drink/water.
There is a Macdonalds on the south bank also various pizza places, wagamama etc and a nice place to eat at the Globe.

End up in Piccadilly Circus if you can. The children like that.
