We're camping near Cannobio, close to the Swiss border, next week , and I wondered if anyone had any tips about where to go/ what to see?
I've been on various websites, trip adviser etc, and slightly overwhelmed with suggestions. We have DC age 10, 8 and 2 and will be driving over, so while we do like day trips, we're keen to stay within an hour's radius (or so) so it's not all about the driving.
So far I have the Gorge of Sant'Anna near Connobio, and the Borromean islands near Stresa. Is Locarno worth a trip? (Remembers a Treaty of Locarno from History O'level ...)
Any tips very gratefully received.
