Edinburgh spa break for couples?

I fancy taking DH to Edinburgh for his birthday in October - we've never been and its somewhere I've always wanted to go. I was wondering if anyone could recommend either a nice spa hotel, or a hotel and day spa? Thanks in advance...

I think the Sheraton is still good, although it's years since I've been there.

What's the budget for the trip, approximately? The Scotsman and the Balmoral are both amazing and have great spas. However, both are very pricey.

Regardless of where you stay, edinburgh is a great city for a break.

The spa at the Sheraton is fabulous, especially the massive rooftop jacuzzi
