Passports are back within 2 weeks thank goodness. Am looking for a lovely holiday with my 12 year old. It's been years since we've been away. Have you been to a lovely complex with the waterpark on site in turkey, Spain, Greece.. Anywhere really. We are flexible. Thanks

We are currently at the Gural Premier Belek in Turkey, it has a fab waterpark for hotel guests only, with about 10 slides including a space bowl type, plus pools, currents, bubble tubs etc. all inclusive restaurant at the aquapark, plus a bar and icecreams available to help yourself, so no need to leave the park all day if you don't want to.

But there us also a large main pool with activities, a quiet pool and a decent beach if you want a change of scene.

Thank you. I priced it and it's out of our budget I'm afraid. looks fab though and I would have loved to go. Anyone else?

Hotel Atlantica Aegean Blue in Rhodes.

It was fab.

Closer to home - Duinrell in The Netherlands. Driveable from Calais.

We are going to the hotel saturno in Majorca. That should be great. Last year we went to one in menorca - the hotel was called the marine parc I think. That was fantastic.

We loved Jungle Aqua Park in Hurghada in Egypt. The waterpark was amazing and very safe. Thomas Cook are the only major player going there, but places like onthebeach do it. The rooms are v big and all have a swimming pool within 20ft

GalaxyInMyPants · 06/08/2014 21:08

Its Egypt but I went to Aqua Blu. Good water park, hotel was fine, nice beach.

BeCool · 06/08/2014 21:14

I'm in Son Bou in Menorca and I can see a water park from the terrace of our villa.

It's lovely here. Hot, great beach, lots of families and no yobs. Check it out online Grin

we went to Aquafantasy in Turkey and it has unlimited access to the waterpark:

ladygracie ooh we were there this time last year.
Dd1 in particular loved the water park (separate to the hotel, 1 minute walk away). The layout was fab for keeping an eye on children, mine had bright uv swimwear on and we could see them queuing from a distance!
Dd2 was 5, I found a nice shady area under trees to get some shade from the sun (35+ the week we were there).
The lifeguards/staff were vigilant in terms of stopping any bigger children pushing past little ones on the slides etc.

onepieceoflollipop · 06/08/2014 21:25

We went with First Choice (last year and again this year). We found it easier in the end to pop into the travel agents as we were quite late booking last year, and they knew where there were places left. (Found the website a bit time consuming).
they do all the places you mention, they have holiday villages and hotels all with a water park either on site or minutes away on foot afaik.
We are doing Portugal this year, Menorca also looked good. We did enjoy Majorca although we are going to a slightly quieter complex this time.

El Greco hotel in Portinatx, Ibiza-right on the pretty beach, AI,
small waterpark, though never busy, kids had a entertainment programme-pool competitions, magicians etc (our DC loved it). Lovely holiday and it was v reasonable.

kylesmybaby · 10/08/2014 03:02

Yay.. Finally booked it and so happy with what we got for our money. Got the price down from £2993 to £1616. We will be back in time for DS12 to go back to school. We are going to a first choice splash world next week. Soo excited!!

Duinrell in Holland is good. Have a look at the Eurocamp website - lots have pools.

Rivercam · 10/08/2014 21:20

Ps. You don't have to camp.

bettykt · 11/08/2014 20:36

Kyles can I be cheeky and ask how did you get the price down? Are there better offers if you go into a travel agents as opposed to booking it online? Or was it because you're going last minute? These hotels with water parks look fantastic and would definitely be interested in going to one next year.
