Extended family long weekend away in the sun (with personality clashes)

I hope someone can give me some advice.

Its my parents 40th anniversary next summer and they want a weekend away somewhere warm with beaches. There will be 8 adults and two children. Four days maximum and there would need to be nice places to eat. We did think about a large villa but tbh no one gets on with SIL and so none of us want to share a house with her. That means apartments or a hotel. Either is fine but we are not sure where to look - none of it would be good enough for SIL so we have decided that majority rules.

So European, family friendly, beaches (my dad is a big swimmer) and caters for group bookings?

Holiday houses are probably let for a week, not 4 days. Try a hotel in somewhere like Brittany. You can take your own car and escape when you need to!!! Lots of good restaurants - check out restaurant guides. Stay in the Carnac area or St Malo area. You can get the ferry to St Malo. Plenty of beaches around Carnac. Or look at Nice. Plenty to do (separately if need be) and beaches.

Thanks very much! I didn't think of Brittany or France in general. I think a hotel is the way to go. Off to google.
