Where to go in October half term

Just that really. We would like to go somewhere warm-ish but not tropical, around 20â?¢ is perfect. Family if 5 with budget 2-3k. Totally lacking inspiration, please give us ideas of destination and resorts etc oh and flying time within 6 hours of uk.

For Europe you need to look at Cyprus or Turkey. Maybe Canaries.

Spain can be quite wet at this time of year according to a colleague who owns a flat in Majorca.

Morocco?

Hmm morocco interesting, what to do with primary age kids?
Any recommendations for specific hotels/accom in Cyprus or Turkey?

We are going to Barcelona.

I'm taking a 9 year old and 12 year old to Marrakech over Easter! I've never been before but there seems to be quite a bit to do- lots of day trips to the Atlas Mountains or the coast or overnight trips in the desert (riding camels). There's loads of pretty riads in the Medina or if you think the centre would be too much, there are lots of hotels with pools etc a bit out of town.

I think I've read every post on TripAdvisor on Marrakech over the past week and a bit.

There are ideas from companies such as Family Adventure Holidays and they include Morocco, Jordan etc. They use inexpensive hotels, but perfectly pleasant, and your children get to meet other children so you don't have to entertain them all the time. I think you should find something in budget.

Well we are off to South Africa and the Kruger Park.

Friends are currently in Marrakesch, returning tomorrow after a 2 week holiday. Their DD is just under 7.

From Facebook pictures they have a great time. Beaches, trips to the mountains, camel rides etc.

I took mine to Athens in Oct half term last year. Loads and loads to do and it was 20 - 25 degrees every day.

We went to fuerteventura last October.

I've been to Portugal the last few Octobers.
Always been lovely and warm.
