La Manga

Looking to book a relaxed girls weekend away next year and we're keen on La Manga. Does anyone have any hotel recommendations?

Any reason you're keen on La Magna? I visited there a couple of years ago and unless you play golf there was absolutely nothing there. It wasn't to clean either.

Although this is only based on 30 min or so there.

Watching with interest. I'd like to go for a long weekend to play tennis.

Have some like minded friends who go every year so I'm sold! Just want to sunbathe/eat/drink/relax without small people around so not much going on suits me!

Some of the nearby Spanish towns are much nicer than la manga. Have a look at Los Alcazares instead.

Do they go to La Manga golf resort or La Manga itself? La Manga isn't particularly pretty -you would be better as someone suggested going somewhere like Los Alcazares where there are nicer bars and restaurants for a weekend away.

Depends what you are looking for but the Intercontinental Hotel at Mar Menor is very good and just a taxi away from Los Alcazares as PPs mentioned. If you can get flights directly to San Javier (Murcia) you're only 10mins away from the resort.

It's a lovely part of Spain.
