Mark Warner Egypt- anyone been recently?

we're thinking of going for New Year- has anyone been recently and which resort did you go to there are two now to choose from ? is the Abu Soma resort pool warm yet? How long does it take to get there and would you recommend it?

When I phoned last month they told me that none of their pools were heated in the winter......

We went to Abu Soma

About 5hrs if I remember right

They won't heat their pools, don't get me going on that one!!

It is a good place, but when we went it was quite empty so not alot of atmosphere. This is at Abu Soma.

Is childcare and watersports really important? If not we love Hyatt Regency in Sharm, it's fantastic! Warm pools, ones with gentle rapids, waterfalls, caves, a reef right off the beach so the fish are FANTASTIC, Finding Nemo at the childrens kneecaps. There is tennis and amazing food. You can snorkel for HOURS, we loved it.

We are going back again to the Hyatt this year, which is amazing as we dont tend to go the same place twice, but it was our most relaxing holiday.
