Urgent help needed for evening in Liverpool

DH and DS are off to Anfield for a stadium tour. I wonder if anyone can help with timings and something to do in the evening.

Coach to coach station arrives 1pm
Tour is 3pm
Assume finished by 5.00/5.30pm (DS has birthday money to spend in the shop)
Train back from Lime Street at 8.45pm

They are taking a packed lunch for on the way/when they get there but plan to have dinner somewhere.

I know there is lots to do in Liverpool but they really only have the evening - can anyone recommend somewhere to eat and perhaps something they could do instead of just waiting for their train.

I was thinking cinema or bowling perhaps?!

We have no idea where anything is in relation to anything else, so any help greatly appreciated.

If they head back into the city centre after the tour, there is an odeon cinema in Liverpool One, an adventure golf place and absolutely loads of places to eat round there.

There's also loads of shops including a lego shop (not sure how old your DS is...).

You can walk to Lime St station from Liverpool one.
