Yes it was a while ago. I remembwr it being warm and very windy place i think quite a big breeze comes off the sea. I think there were a fair few churches and the like to see. Was quite picturesque.

We stayed in a hotel near centre but cant remember anything about it. Sorry. My fav place of that trip was Rhonda. If you are touring i would recommend it.

Ronda sorry spelling mistake

Yes, started off in Seville, got the train to Jarez and then a couple of nights in Cadiz. Trains were really good. Sitting on the beach, eating and drinking. Was good.

I love Cádiz but I wouldn't say there was loads to do. It depends what you want from your holiday. It's a small, pretty city with some nice beaches and good places to eat and easy to do some good day trips too.

The breeze mentioned above is the Levante wind which can hit town for a few days at a time and makes lying on the beach almost an impossibility.

Thanks everyone. Maybe it's not for me. I'm looking for an October City break somewhere warm with a 'harbour vibe' iykwim

It is a lovely place and I love the vibe but it might not be to everyone's taste. Could you combine it with a couple of nights in Seville?

Mintyy · 28/07/2014 22:00

Oooh, yes, fabulous place! We spent 3 or 4 nights in Seville and 3 or 4 in Cadiz and travelled between them by coach. Very very warm. I LOVE holidays in cities. Cadiz does have a fabulous beach a bus ride away from the centre.

Splitting it with Seville sounds good. Any recommendations for hotels or apartments and is there better areas to stay in? Thanks for answering all my questions!

Loads of hotels and apartments in Seville. I would be tempted to go for an apartment. Arenal is very central but a bit quieter than the very touristy Santa Cruz. Triana nice too.

Not too sure about Cádiz but the old town is nicer, although the new town is closer to the long Victoria beach.
