Reykyavik - allow for just a few hours of daylight. The city itself isn't that big (only 90,000 inhabitants). The country is stunning but distances are huge so can't be "done" in a weekend. We are going for a week in January.

Oslo is very nice and just the right size for a weekend. Plenty to see but very expensive, esp. food & drinks.

Hotels aren't too expensive, it was the food that we found was pricey. TGI Friday's was among the cheaper options!
