Holidaying with 17yr step daughter - who sleeps where?

Hi,
My OH and I want to take his 17yr old daughter somewhere warm (probably canaries) between Christmas and new year. I thought a 2 bed apartment would be ideal but there doesn't seem to be any on the holiday search engines I'm trying. Has anyone got any search engine suggestions which have this as an option or can anyone recommend any apartment buildings? Or have you travelled with a teenager in one bedroom - I think sharing a hotel room for a week would cause tension - the OH thinks I'm being dramatic :)

Not sure where you are looking. Plenty of 2 bed apartments here:

Wouldn't fancy a hotel room for a week myself. Spacious one-bed with a sofa-bed at a pinch. I don't think you are being dramatic!

I agree! I would definitely want some separate space, and I imagine she will too. You'll all have a much nicer holiday if you are not in each others' spaces the whole time

You could stay in a hotel and have interconnected rooms?

Another option is she takes a friend and you book 2 hotel rooms.

Two hotel rooms. She's almost an adult, needs the space as much as you do.

Thanks everyone, I think I've found a 2 bed apartment on a owners website - thanks for the tip and the support x

I've stayed in a two bed apartment at Malibu park in Tenerife. Not the most upmarket of places but I liked it. Clean, quiet, small pool, close enough to walk to places but away from the hustle. We self catered.
