Orlando - anyone done a night at a universal hotel just for the early access and fast passes?

It seems that if we stay one night we get early access the morning after we've stayed over and unlimited fast passes for that day.

Am I right in thinking we also get early access and fast passes for the day we check in?

So if we stay Monday night we could arrive early Monday morning, park & drop bags and pick up fast passes. Day in park, sleep at hotel and again early park access and fast passes? Seems too good to be true!

I'm looking at the royal pacific but open to your feedback.

Thanks

Its right! Arrive early and check in then enjoy your day in the park with your Front Of Line Passes (express pass). Stay overnight then check out early, leave your bags at reception and enjoy your second day too!

Well worth doing! We've booked the Hard Rock Hotel for this very reason.

Wow! Thanks for confirming kaytola

We're doing just that, we did it last time too. Royal Pacific is lovely, so we're going back there. Cabana Bay doesn't offer the passes (early entry only), so don't book that if you're tempted. Have fun!

"Universal ExpressSM Unlimited ride access to SKIP THE REGULAR LINES in both theme parks all day - a FREE benefit worth up to $89 per person, per day (valid theme park admission required)".

This is from their website but you still have to pay for park admission.

There are also some restrictions that you should take note of as well:-

The smallprint also states that this benefit does not apply to the Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey ride, "Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringottsâ„¢, and other select attractions. Not valid at Hogwarts Express. Only valid for the number of guests staying in the room for the length of hotel stay as indicated on the Universal Express Unlimited pass. Available during normal theme park operating hours only. Not valid for separately ticketed special events. Additional restrictions may apply and benefits are subject to change without notice.

We're doing this next year. Staying at RPR as slightly cheaper Grin

We did this at HRH well worth it and the hotel was fab aswell.

Thought Universal parks were quiet compared to Disney so not sure that it is entirely necessary but if you can afford to definitely do it!

Thanks for all the tips ladies! Royal pacific is booked

Next September for me, it's such a long countdown!

We went last Easter.

Who did you book RPR with?

HermioneWeasley · 20/07/2014 19:29

We've booked most of our holiday through dial a flight so they booked the hotel for us, but you can book direct with them through the universal hotels website
