BBC tours - age limits

Hello. I was thinking about taking my boys 10 and 7.5 on a BBC tour this summer. However I see that they don't take kids under 9. Apparently this is due to the tour content being inappropriate for younger kids.

Has anyone done the tour and if so, were they strict on ages? DS2 is pretty mature, well behaved and could just about pass for 9. Any views on whether I should pursue or should I leave it for a year?

Thanks in advance!

My friend took (or is taking) her year 3 class on the trip. I'm not sure if they're adapting it for her though. I do know that when she called to talk to them about it they were really helpful so that might be an option.

Thanks Gracie. I will give them a call. We overheard some of the Tour while sitting in the cafe, and I thought it sounded great.

I hope they are as helpful to you. Enjoy it!
