do I need to take towels? The hotel provides beach/pool towels but was just wondering if it's likely to be strictly one towel per person and an extra maybe useful?

I think you may need to contact the place you are staying in. We don't do all inclusive, but the last few hotels we stayed in issued clean towels every day.

All hotels abroad issues free towels in the bathroom!
As regarding pool towels if you an extra one just add another number on when you get them.

Definitely check, we took towels which were heavy and then it turned out the hotel issued them clean daily and only permitted use of their towels.

Annoying and expensive as it tipped us over luggage allowance.

You normally get one each and change them each day or as often as you like so don't need to worry about them getting soaked or covered in sand.

WisemansBridge · 07/07/2014 11:03

Yes we've always had towels in the bathroom - changed daily if needed - as well as pool towels which you usually collect from somewhere and can exchange them for clean ones as and when you need them.

I suppose you could contact your hotel to ask but I've never been in a hotel that didn't provide towels. In my experience towels are changed daily along with any maid service. But some hotels do have environmental policies in place to try and get you to use your towel for longer.

Anyway, if in doubt check with the hotel.

Any all-inclusive hotel we have stayed in has provided each guest with one towel at a time, but you can change wet towels for dry as often as you like.

Best to email your hotel though to check their specific policy

we took 1 towel each but also got pool towels at the hotel. Our most recent one took a towel deposit (15 euros for each towel) that we got back at the end. We could change these towels every 2 days.
