Passport turn around time scale

Hi, i sent off mine and my sons pazsport on 10th june via post office check and send.
Mine is a renewal and my sons a first, he is aged 2.
I called up on tuesday as it had been 3 weeks and was told they were being processed.
They received them on the 12th.
I also completed the online tracking system which i had a email back gor last night stating they were awaiting examination.
We travel 13th august and im so worried that they arent going to be back in time. Can someone please help as of what to do?

Most people seem to be getting their passports within 4 weeks and whilst some people only got the passports the day before that meant they were still able to travel. Excluding overseas applicants I don't think many people have had to wait more than 6 weeks especially now that they've got the passport offices working 7 days a week and into the night.

I would try not to panic too much (I know easier said than done) - first passports can take a little longer, do you know if the counter signatory has been contacted as that slows it all down unfortunately. You still have just over 5 weeks until you travel - I'm sure you'll have them back by then.

Hi, I sent one daughters renewal and other daughters first passport a few weeks ago. Got the renewal 2 weeks 2 days from the text saying they had received it. Got the first passport today, 6 days later. So exactly 3 weeks for renewal and 3 weeks 6 days for first one from day of sending. Good luck.

I got my son's renewal back in 4 weeks.
