Anyone actually had theirs back in 3 weeks, in the past few weeks?
Not booked travel, but would like to go for a week before the end of the (Scottish) school holidays

I called passport office today and was told that renewals are taking 4-5 weeks.

Yes DDs first passport. Sent in on the 3rd June. Back on the 26th.

A few caveats - DD is a baby so no interview needed. I did check and send at the post office. After 2wks phoned to see if I could expedite and pay more. I didn't end up expediting but wonder if calling and pestering made a difference. Finally was told that passport was in Dublin office which is apparently less busy than others.

Good luck. Hope you get passport back soon.

sent 2 renewals by check and send on 26th June, apparently they have gone to Durham, so here's hoping :) otherwise it's a week here (kids won't care) I just want a bit of sun :)

Sent a renewal for a 9 year old on 13th June, text to say received on 18th, back on the 4th of July. 3 weeks exactly from sending. Didn't do check and send. Still waiting for my 1 year olds first passport though, which was sent on the same day and that was check and send but it does say everywhere that first passports take up to 6 weeks. X
