Trunki Space

I'm thinking of buying a trunki for my 12 w/o to use as an actual suitcase. We visit family for a week a few times a year. Does anyone have one and will it be big enough for all dd's clothes?

Don't do it. They are a PITA

I have one for my just 2yo and I have only really used it as a weekend bag as I find it too small for much else. You would probably fit plenty of sleepsuits, vests etc in but not extras like nappies, wipes, muslins and the various other stuff that a baby needs.

I managed to fit 4 tops, 4 shorts, 4pairs of pants, 2 books, swim trunks, fleece jumper, towel, flip flops and sandals for a 5 year old in his trunki. Hope this helps!

Thanks. Might just go for a slightly bigger less gimmicky equivalent. I was drawn in by the squee factor!

We've just got one for dd2 for taking on holiday. We're just planning on packing toys and books in it, and maybe a pair of jammies or 2. They are pretty wee

I think they're really just meant as carry ons for toys but they're just so damn cute! Get a grip Roobix and think practical Wink

We took ours as hand luggage full of sticker books and stuff this year but they are such a pain to open on your knee on a plane. I'm persevering though as its the Gruffalo one and I love it :)

We stayed away from it, even for hand luggage. DD prefers to runat the airport and with two other pieces of hand luggage I don't want to carry hers.

Also, it opens like a suitcase, stupid unless you like getting up and down to change items.

DD has a trolley with a zip opening, it fits under the seat and items are easy to retrieve.

Whe we go on weekend trips or fly to the grandparents her clothes and everything else is just packed with ours. I don't see the need for seperate suitcase, even DH and I mix.

Is this for a 12 week old?? They won't be pulling it themselves then? Avoid I would say.
