Cabanas de tavira?

I was planning to go to western algarve but have found perfect apartment at a great price here! Has anyone been? Is it easy to get around on public transport if we wanted a day near albuferia theme park/aqua park ?

It is lovely there although quiet compared to Central and West Algarve. I think that's why it is a bit cheaper too, still not over developed because of the Nature area. We had a car so don't know anything about the buses etc. the boat trips out to the islands are a bit of fun. Monte Gordo has a bit more buzz with loads of cafes and restaurants as well as a great beach.

lovely place. there is a train station, but its a bit of a treck from the place where we stayed on the front, espec walking in hot weather. so we never used it.

lovely beaches, warm sea, not that many places to visit (but then algarve is a bit like that anyway). pretty quiet and a bit of a treck from the water parks. nice bars and restaurants with quite a lot of spanish, and food/drink cheaper than western algarve.

you get a little boat across the harbour to the beach
