Child friendly resort in Med for last minute booking

Just wondered if anyone has any really good recommendations for a resort holiday somewhere in the Med this summer? It'll be our first holiday in a few years and we want something naice!

It needs to be somewhere with lots of other kids/kids club or activities so DS (6 and an only child) has some potential playmates. We'd ideally like self catering but with easy access to restaurants etc in the resort itself. Beach essential!

We've not managed to narrow things down much yet between Spain/Balearics/south of France/Greek Islands... Slightly favouring islands on the basis they'd be a tad cooler... And budget is up to about £4,000 for 10 days.

Would be lovely to hear about your favourite places that might still have some availability! TIA.

We've just come back from Protur Bonaire in Cala Bona and it was excellent, can't recommend it enough. Our 2 boys are 1 and 3 but they have great kids clubs for up to 11 year olds.

Such good value as well. We booked through Thomson self catering then upgraded to AI for the last 5 days of our hol when we got there, much cheaper and gave us a chance to go out and have some meals out for the first half of our hol then have the convenience of AI with 2 small children for the last half.
The main beach isn't on the doorstep though , about a 20 min walk or 5-10 min cab journey. Didn't bother me as I'm not a huge beach fan, but I'd say that's its only negative!

One of the first choice holiday villages. They have around 10 hotels all over the med. we have been to. 4 and can recommend kos and Tunisia as they both have their own beaches which a lot of them do not. They have kids clubs, slide pools, and pretty much non stop entertainment. My dd who is 6 loves them as does 2 yr old ds.

FO are warning against travel to lots of Tunisia atm- terrorist activity apparently.
I really like Menorca, but last minute availability is usually a no no.

That's near the border with Libya. All the tourist resorts in the north such as Hammamet are shown as Green.
