After reading all the chaos in the papers last week I decided to book a fast track appointment in Liverpool for my daughters straightforward renewal (we aren't travelling until early august but this holiday has caused enough agro so didn't want to take any chances)
They said they would email a barcode/confirmation and this hasn't happened, I rang the 0300 number and they said they must have misspelt my email address (despite me spelling it out twice)
and they cannot issue out another.
I gave my booking reference number and they confirmed her appointment and said this will be all I need to gain entry on the day. But I'm worried sick we'll be turned away. I'm not overly confident with their assurances now. 
Has anyone done fast track recently? Did you need the barcode or was the booking reference number enough?
