keep seeing this but can not understand what it is and what it offers against a standard Thomson holiday

It's an all inclusive hotel in Sharm. Think the club magic bit is the hotel brand ?

Isn't there one on the Canary Islands too? We looked at going there. Lots of sporting activities if I recall correctly. Not associated with Thomson though?

No, it's not thomson. It is their own brand. There is one in fuerteventura. We went last October. Loads of activities to do. Kids clubs for all ages, swimming, gym, various classes, spa. Kids clubs included stuff like football, roller skates etc.

It was a good holiday. We'd go again if the other hotel wasn't in sharm.

umm ok sorry I thought it was part of Thomson, just looked and the kids club activities are 6-12 years which is a huge age gap, Holiday Village was 9-11 years and there were activities at night from 9-11pm so this is much better suited for our DS

We usually go to Sensatori hotels - great for kids but lots for adults as well.

thanks Ken - which one would you recommend for a 9 year old?

They all have identical kids clubs / activities so depends what your DS likes. They have football, tennis, archery etc. I did see in the Tenerife one that they had Segweys as well as the giant pool balls etc. Sharm had the giant pool balls as well that you run inside.
If you are going in school holidays Sharm probably too hot !

We went to the one in sharm in August 2011. We booked it through Thompson. I wasn't expecting much, as it was a last minute decision, but we had a fab time! It was clean, the food was good, big enough to feel spacious and the grounds were surprisingly lush and green.

hulahoopsilove · 16/06/2014 12:06

it will be May, dont fancy Sharm though
