I am considering holiday with my partner for September or October - would love to visit Dubrovnik - has anyone got any resort or hotel recommendations
I have been looking at korcula island and lapad peninsula

We stayed at the Hotel Lapad last year and would recommend it. It is very easy to use the local bus to get to the old town. If you buy tickets at the hotel reception you don't have to faff around trying to get your fares sorted out on the bus.

You can walk across the peninsula to the other side where there is a beach and a nice walk along path that runs out to the headland.

The old town is wonderful and you absolutely must walk around the walls. You can buy "passport style" tickets that allow you to enter several places of interest. There is so much to see and do in Dubrovnik that it merits more than a day trip, so I wouldn't holiday in Korcula if my main reason for going to Croatia was to visit Dubrovnik.

We went to Lapad last year and really enjoyed it. Bus to old town Dubrovnik which is lovely. Go to Atlantic Kitchen restaurant in Lapad - fab!!

And Lopud island too
