Nice in October - Any suggestions

We are hoping to go away for a week in October with our 6 month old DS. Due to where we live we are kind of restricted on destinations as we want a direct flight and fancied Nice. Does anyone know of any nice Nice accomodation or surrounding area, preferably self catering for 2 adults one baby and also do you think it will be reasonably warm at that time ?

not sure about the accomodation rookiemum but my best friend lives in nice and ive seen people sunbathing and swimmming in the sea in december!
