OH & I want a night away in October - possibly to go to the theatre & ideally in London. Have just been browsing & it looks as though it would be cheaper to go abroad, which is totally ridiculous IMO. Can afford something reasonable but don't want to pay OTT prices just for a night!

Just wondered if anyone had any suggestions / recommendations of hotels or shows in London, or S England / Wales, or even Birmingham.

just had weekend in london in aug. Got a fab hotel on last min dot com secret hotels. They tell you the location and description but not the name of hotel till you book. we got 75% of and stayed in the hilton metropol it cost £50 for the two of us for one night. Think the site does shows as well. Good luck.

Ooh thanks for that. Have had a look on lastminute but perhaps not last minute enough.

Do you think it's possible to work out which hotel it is?

I'll look into that then. Not totally keen on going to one that is anonymous totally but if you can work it out that's not too bad.
