Posting here in the hopes that helpful Mumsnetters can come to our rescue...we've ended up booking very late owing to a holiday clash at work. Ideally looking for somewhere in Brittany near a beach with good kids activities (Club Mickey etc) - can't do Eurocamp/Keycamp as DH anti-camping Hmm so probably an apartment or even a nice b&b (although most are booked by now I think!). Would rather stay somewhere a bit lively rather than remote - we've rented before but end up a bit isolated. Any leads gratefully received.

I know dh is anti camping but could he manage a mobile home on a campsite. Then you have lots of activities on site like a pool. Otherwise try Pierre vaccances for apartments. They tend to be one bedroom though with a sofa bed. Hope you find something.

Canvas holidays do wooden lodges on some campsites, would your DH consider those?

lazypepper · 10/06/2014 18:29

I was going to say the same as sandycloud and soloman. How about a campsite, but staying in one of the nicer mobiles/chalets ?

P and V?

MaitreKarlsson · 10/06/2014 18:43

Thanks for ideas. Pierre et Vacances - looked at them already but yes seem to be usually 1 bedroom, which I don't think we're up for...Canvas I haven't looked at yet - thanks.

We've stayed in 2 bed houses and there are bigger. Always size up.

Benodet? Try gites de france...

MaitreKarlsson · 10/06/2014 19:01

Checked Canvas - no lodges left for our dates in north or south Brittany. Off to check P&V....
Biscuit, we've looked at gites de France but I guess because we weren't sure where to head the choice was a bit too wide. I'll have a look at Benodet, thanks. Smile

Canvas have mobile home availability at their Family Active sites in Brittany. The best gites will have been LONG booked by now.
