What do I want to do/ buy in NYC?

I am off to NYC for work and will have a few days to myself. If you had two days there, what would you do? Also, is there anything that is much cheaper there than the UK or anything toy-wise that I may be able to get there and not here?!

American brands are all cheaper there, so J crew, Gap, banana republic, Michael kors, Levi's, coach etc are usually in $ what we pay in £

We were there recently and found the selection of actual toys in the big toy shops was pretty disappointing. Our local Smyths has more!

In your position I would see a show, visit rockerfeller plaza and maybe have a drink in the Rainbow room, go the the natural history museum and the Met, and do some shopping.

Allow plenty of time to get from Manhattan to your airport. Took us nearly 2 hours to get from midtown to JFK when we left at 3pm and apparently that's not unusual.
