Planning to go away in early September with a just turned one year old and nearly three year old. We don't want to stay in a resort, will probably rent an apartment. Have been googling for suggestions and my list of possibilities so far are Spain (possibly Barcelona), Croatia, Italy (Lake Garda, Tuscany) and Copenhagen. Was considering Turkey as I'd love to visit Istanbul but think it would be a bit hot for us. Wondering if anyone has other suggestions or would particularly recommend any of the places I'm already considering.
