we stayed in the algave,in alberfuria, oops cant spell that.we stayed in the pria de oura, they have apartments, from ground level and upwards,we took a 4 and a 5 year old there on the 3rd floor, they have all flowers sort of built into the balcony so the children couldnt get near to it,and the pria da oura hotel,we took a 3 year old and were on the 2nd floor, again this balcony was too high for him to climb over and there were no foot holds for him to get up.But i did notice on the net the other month that there was building work going on in certain parts of the comples,so check out first, otherwise it is a beautiful place, great for children.

Nice, very very flexible and friendly, great with kids, speak english too. BUT not near algarve or lisbon, in the countryside by the sea between the two.

Fab, littlestar stayed and had a fab time, very child friendly, houses or small studios on a nice site with coffee shop, small supermarket, restaurant etc and a creche, two pools, 5 mins from beach, cute town nearby. 20 mins outside lisbon. they will provide stair gates, high chairs, babysitters etc.

i live here, and have been searching in vain for a child friendly villa to rent - its a nightmare, no one seems to have got into the child holiday market here yet.

never visited algarve with the kids, so cant help you on that bit, sorry
