What is the weather like in Gran Canaria in May?

Looking to go there at the beginning of May, what is the weather like then? Will it be warm enough to sit by the pool? Is it cooler at night? Thanks for any experiences :)

I went in October and it was hot hot hot. I assume it's hotter in May.

We went to Lanzarote one March and it was pool weather then, so I imagine it will be very much pool weather in May.
