Totally open minded - where have you been that you loved? Cheap and cheerful apartment near a beach anywhere not too £££. I assume we'll share a room with 2yo but want an apartment type thing so we can stay up drinking wine when he goes to bed. A week in July or maybe Sept.

2yo boy loves playgrounds and water play. Me and DH love beaches and sightseeing. Tbh I don't think we're very special with our requirements , but I want to glean wisdom from MN as to where we should go! Thanks

Just back from portinatx in ibiza -first holiday abroad with 4yo dd. Great for young families-very calm, shallow clear sea for playing. Little playground on seafront between the two main beaches. Also ibiza is a very short flight!
We stayed in paradise beach, which is an AI hotel, but I suspect used to be self catering as all rooms had kitchenette. We paid a little extra to have one bed apartment rather than studio so that we could put dd in bedroom and we had sofa bed. In practice though she was enjoying self so much she stayed up as late as us most nights! Hotel was very reasonable price for what we paid. It also had its own playar
Didn't do much sightseeing, but enjoyed a glass bottom boat trip, and could have got boat trips or a land train to other places. Probably need to hire a car if you wanted to do a lot of sightseeing though, as busrs not very frequent.
