Is it in Crewe itself or the one at Beeston?

The only Wild Boar I know of in that area is at Beeston, as Clayhead says. If it is that one (VV old black and white building) it's about half an hour from Crewe and is really just the hotel on the side of the road through. There are several excellent eating pubs close by but you're looking at a half hour walk or so to the closest ones.

There's the Dysart Arms or Yew Tree Inn at Bunbury, which are probably the closest and walkable to by road. The Pheasant Inn at Burwardsley which is an hour's walk across the fields or the Cholmondeley Arms at Cholomondeley which is a 10 minute drive.
