How is heathrow?

I am flying into Heathrow with family in 3 weeks. How is heathrow, still a bottleneck or have things settled down abit. I am dreading customs.

We flew in on Friday from Milan, and were told we would have to wait over 1.5 hours for luggage. (this is when i went to BA counter after 1/2 hour) we just got them to deliver luggage to house the next day. It arrived before 10.30am.

Customs wasn't bad, but we did fly into to term 1 so others maybe different. HTH

We travelled on the 17th August - exactly one week after the security altert started.

We arrived there at 2.15pm - and were through Check-in and security by 3.30 (and it was very busy at check-in - flight to SA).

Coming back getting back through customs and everything was fine - baggage came through quickly - no problems at all!

Just make sure you stick to the restrictions (if they're still in place then) on hand luggage and you'll be fine.

sounds pretty normal then. We may get lucky and move along, baggae I find is always hit or miss in terms of time. thanks. I was wondering how it was. I suspected it had settled down.
