Has anyone been to Croatia with a 17mth old or there abouts. I'm wondering if you can buy pasteurised cows milk. Going to hvar. Might sound stupid, but what did you do?

We were there last year and I don't remember it being an issue, even on the islands.

We were on Korcula and didn't have a problem.

We stayed on the Makarska riviera and cow's milk was readily available in the supermarkets.

We went to Spain and despite cows milk readily available DD went on a milk strike for 2 weeks. DH commented that the milk tastes differently as the Spanish go for the new "longer life" pasteurized milk.

DD survived without any problems and just adjusted to lots of yoghurt instead.

The same happened again, two years later and every time we are in Germany as it is the same style of pasteurizing.

So even if Croatia would be a milk free zone your child will survive.
