Anyone visited Dawlish/Dawlish Warren

I am interested to hear about peoples experiences of visiting/holidaying in Dawlish and Dawlish Warren.
Tell me the good, the bad and the ugly. I am going there in a few weeks so would be interest to get your tips and advice.

yes we've been twice when dcs were little, quite a few years ago.
we liked it - at dawlish warren there's a lovely big beach, a little fair, shops/cafes also you could get the train along the coast. Dawlish is nice too -more shops, a nice park with river running through the town and the famous black swans.
I can't remember going to the beach at Dawlish-think it was v small?
can't find any negatives we had two lovely holidays there.

We went 12 years ago when DD was 2. We stayed in a caravan park in Dawlish Warren and it was OK. The caravan was lovely, I just don't like caravan parks. We visited loads of local places and met up with family a couple of times. We went to Paignton Zoo and also took a trip on the Paignton steam railway - both great days out.
