Hi all,

Have just read online that infants get 10kg luggage automatically with Thomas Cook? Has anyone travelled with then before that could advise? I was hoping we could just put extra in mine and husbands cases as we have two infants under 2? Many thanks in advance

There will be a maximum weight that a case can be, you may need the extra for a pushchair, link to thomas cook It depends which airline they haev booked you on.

I'm pretty sure when we went with Thomas Cook we had to put the 10kg in a separate bag. Your push chair is free so the 10kg is on top of that.

I'm flying with TC shortly, I was planning on putting my infants 10kg in with my 2 year olds 20kg.....the maximum weight it 30kg in each bag so I hope it's ok doing it this way.

I don't think it'll total 30kg tho as I'm buying milk, nappies, wipes etc when I arrive on holiday.

Thanks all really helpful, ideally we will put extra 10 in each of our bags for the infants. If this isn't ok then I'll take some out and put in separate bags. That's what in planning on doing weeclype buying essentials out there to save space! Just takin enough for first day until we get to a shop.

Thanks eeryone

I thought the maximum per bag for H & S reasons was 23kgs.

WeeClype · 03/06/2014 16:30

I'm a long haul flight I'm on, it says on our tickets 30kgs maximum.

*its not I'm Confused

I had exactly the same query recently with Thomson, and was wary about trying to interpret small print and end up getting it wrong. I contacted them via Twitter and was given an email address to write to and they got back to me v quickly with clarification.

May be worth doing same with TC if you haven't been able to speak to them directly yet

ilovepowerhoop · 03/06/2014 16:39

our airline stipulates no one bag can be heavier than 23kgs so check with TC to see what they say

MikeLitoris · 03/06/2014 16:45

TC is 30kg for one bag. We flew with them a few weeks ago.

Many bag handlers will not lift a 30kg bag! You could have trouble with this. TC is not in charge of the bag handlers! Far better to do 3 smaller bags. You won't lift a bag this heavy either! We had to buy an extra bag in the USA when they refused to lift a heavy bag after a skiing holiday. Be very careful about whet can go on the aircraft, and what will actually be handled in the airport. You could be repacking.
