Llandudno or Colwyn Bay?

Taking a couple of teens out for the day, and thought I'd canvass opinions here before I go. I was about 4 when I went so I don't have a clear memory of either!

Llandudno. Colwyn Bay looks a bit ghost towny nowadays

Llandudno. We stayed in Colwyn Bay a few years ago and visited Llandudno while we were there. We wished we had stayed in Llandudno.

Colwyn Bay has a zoo that is worth visiting though, but nothing else to recommend it.
