HELP! Does DD's carseat count in baggage allowance?

Flying with British Airways shorthaul and I'm having a panic because I booked 2yo DD and I hand baggage only and we need to take her carseat with us as we're visiting family. I have a horrible feeling that I've misread their policy and the carseat allowance is only if they're under 2 and I can't get hold of BA on the phone. Does anyone know? Am I going to have to pay excess baggage?

Meant to add it applies to children up to 11.

Yes it's free, in addition to hand luggage. You can also take a buggy free if you want to.

Yes sorry I was answering the thread title. I always get confused when the title asks one question and post asks another. I never know which to put...yes...no....haha
