Where to start looking for a short break for 3 in Sept to Barcelona/Sitges?

Me and 2 friends (all laydeez in our 50s) are looking for a 'cheap' getaway to Barcelona in late September.

It'd be for say 3 nights and we picked Barcelona because we can fly out of Bournemouth to get there easily.

Where would you start looking? A hotel with pool? Would that be likely to have the sleeping layout we need in that though we'll happily share a room, we don't really want to share beds! What about an apartment? Might be get a reasonably priced one?

Somewhere to put together an easy breakfast of packed lunch would be ideal.

We'd do a bit of sightseeing, some shopping, maybe some sitting by a pool or the sea and lots of eating and drinking.

Any ideas welcome!

Do you mean as a package or to book each aspect independently?

Flights to Barcelona can be quite cheap. Just make sure it is to Barcelona El Prat - and not to Girona (Ryanair call it Barcelona).

Train from airport into Barcelona. Train from Barcelona down/up the coast.

An apartment might work out best for you - as you have more space, and kitchen facilities for the odd meal or snack, and keeping your wine chilled :)

We are in Barcelona now. It has rained all week.
